Christmas in the West End Village.

The Christmas lights will be switched on in the West End around 6pm on Thursday, including the Christmas Tree at the end of Shandwick Place, at St John's Church, Stafford Street, and the lovely new Christmas lights on William Street.
An eighteen voice choir will be performing at the Christmas Tree this evening, and many of the local bars and restaurants will be dishing up samples of their seasonal treats to visitors. Wannaburger on Queensferry Street will also be celebrating their first birthday, and have all sorts of treats available in the restaurant. In the shops, there will be mulled wine, glasses of fizz, mince pies, and special offers on the night, such as 15% off in Frontiers and in The Cupboard on Stafford Street.
Looking ahead, the One World Shop at St John's Church has created a programme of events and activities in the West End of Princes Street in the coming month. Some of the choirs and performers will tour the area, including William Street, in the weeks running up to Christmas, and will hopefully add to the festive spirit in the area.
